Exclamation Re: Advice!

I like that title. From now on I am only known as "Oh wise me4froggy2,"

"How does one deal with chronic depression?"

Different people deal with depression differently. From what I know about you, you've tried many, many drugs, love poetry, and hate alot of things. I think that your depression comes from the drugs you take/have taken. In this case, I'm not telling you to stop, but your body is not being able to cope with stress and dosage. You should probably find the insulator of your stress (Work, School, Social Life, etc.) and take a load off for a while, as for your drugs. If you like poetry you should probably use that as a stress reliever. Do not use it so much to where you cannot think of a poem because that brings stress back. In fact, if you're that kind of person, who can't wait and is not patient, you should just rest of try something you like doing, like poetry. Lastly, try not to think of the things you hate, if you can't help it visit a phsyc, or whatev.

Hope that helps. I have alot more to say if you need more, just ask.

Drugs aren't the cause of my depression that's for sure, I took (woo! 3 weeks clean) the drugs to escape from my depression. I'm pretty sure it stems from having avoidant personality disorder. This is where the viscious cycley begins, I have depression because of APD, but because of my depression i have no motivation to fix the APD. what to do, what to do?

Re: Advice!

You can get rid of APD easily. APD pretty much means you aren't putting enough forward into life. Meaning your personality does not appeal to yourself.

To get rid of APD you need to look into things you like and come back to Earth. Realize even if you don't love something that it doesn't have to be hated.

Re: Advice!

The causes of depression are at present unknown and no single cause has been identified.

talking to a psychologist will help...
and trust me, telling someone (with depression) what they should do will not help.

Re: Advice!

Go on the diet anyway. Just don't let them know. Keep yourself at a limit. Eat ONLY breakfast, lunch, dinner, and one snack. The snack has to be a fruit or vegitable, otherwise something under 100 calories. Exorcise alot, and don't weigh in, whatever you do...Don't weigh in.

Re: Advice!

i cant go on a diet without them knowing because they watch everything i do. I'm a very active person, I do some form of sports everyday, and when i come back they force me to eat. Why shouldn't i weigh in ? I weigh myself everyday to see how i'm gettinon weight wise. Is that a bad thing ?

Re: Advice!

Well, no...But it can cause trouble. It might lower your spirits. And if you stop weighing in, they might just forget about the whole thing and leave you alone. If not, talk it out. If they don't listen, find other ways of notifying them. If that doesn't work, what does it matter if you're fat and ugly? That may be to yourself, but if other people think otherwise, that's okay, right?

Could it be, that all the trick-or-treaters with sheets upon themselves are dressed as matresses?
