Re: Emo Style
I said craze because it is very popular in Malta...
In Malta, a lot of teens love to hang out in our capital city, Valletta in summer and school holidays and the majority of these teens are skaters and emos.
Last Sunday I was in Valletta with my friend and we were surprised with the large number of emos there were....
I don't have anything against it but it's like everyone's turning emo..

I see.
To answer the question, I have nothing against it. It's just a fashion craze like any other. It comes into existence, capitalizes on a particular group, experiences vast popularity, becomes a parody of itself, and lives out the rest of it's pitiful submerged existence being valued by the counterculture.

Re: Emo Style
Yes I believe this is a craze or fad that will quickly deteriorate in the coming years or so. But this emo thing going on right now is really quite fascinating seeing young men and women expressing themselves with clothes and music.

Oh yes. Nothing says "expression" quite like having the exact same "I'm so angst right now." attitude as dozens of others and listening to really crappy bubble-gum pop music.

Re: Emo Style
hey i personally semi like the emo style.
see i like the gothic scene but nobody at my school or homw town seems to know the difference between emo and goth so i have been labelled emo and everything that goes with it.
i think the reason everybody is turning emo as its the lastest way to rebel what with guys wearing pink and make up its a dark but stylish way of rebelling against the man and tradition.
personaly i like emo guys but thats just me i think emo is starting to get weeded out but next year there will be another one just like it comming out.
Jack Sparrow: [after Will draws his sword] Put it away, son. It's not worth you getting beat again.
Will Turner: You didn't beat me. You ignored the rules of engagement. In a fair fight, I'd kill you.
Jack Sparrow: That's not much incentive for me to fight fair, then, is it?

It's not rebellion against tradition. Rebellion involves active practical defiance. Emo involves lack of compliance from over abundance of self-loathing.
